The Cabin with the Girls!

While many of you were celebrating Valentine's Day or kicking off Chinese New Year with your sweethearts, I took our little sweethearts up north.
We had been planning a trip up to our cabin over the long weekend. Our last hurrah as a family of four. Unfortunately, Jeff came down with a bad case of Strep Throat on Thursday. I guess that is what happens when the Dad volunteers at the pre-school Valentine's party for me. Rumor has it he was even painting finger nails with the other Mom's! :)
By Sunday we were all a little stir crazy, and Jeff sent me off with the girls. So much for a romantic Valentine's dinner!!!
It is snowy and cold up here. But, so fun to see the girls just having fun outside together. We took a snow shoe walk on the lake this morning. Ruby did fantastic! It was her first experience walking on top of the snow! I was telling her that I remember going for a very long walk by myself the day before we got her referral back in March, 2007. I walked and prayed that we would finally know the child that God had chosen for us. Two weeks from today, I will finally have the newest child that has been chosen for our family. I can't wait!
Back to the city today, and the normal routine tomorrow! Nine more days until wheels up!

Beautiful snow pictures. Time is going quickly it won't be long until you have another little snow bunny tagging along.
Those are gorgeous pictures! Looks like a beautiful spot!
Such great pictures of the girls - can't wait to see Sienna Grace in the mix!!
Blessings and Prayers for your trip!
WOW! I need to do a little snow walking. It is such great exercise for your legs. You all must have been sore today! The pictures are breath taking of your girls....course, I don't know how you could have a bad one of them! Praying for your Sienna Grace.
I have followed your web site for the past several months and just wanted you to know how much you have inspired me to look past everything I knew about the China adoption process and really reach out and let the Lord lead me to our youngest daughter and HE did!! I too have a daughter from Jiangxi, she is now 4 and resembles Ruby so. We have been waiting for over two years for a second child and when I saw Sienna Grace and read her story, I was so inspired and more importantly was reminded that MIRACLES DO HAPPEN!! Our LOI has been submitted and we are awaiting for PA. God Bless you and your beautiful family and all the families you have "touched" in ways you may never know. I look forward to following your journey to Sienna Grace!
What beautiful snow and beautiful girls! So wonderful that you all can get away and enjoy time together before the big trip. I know you are so excited! Wanted to let you know the little girl we were reviewing with B Thal was just too sick so we declined the file. I was so very sad until we found our precious ShayleeJoy exactly one week later. We are waiting on PA and then we will introduce her to the world- can barely wait to hold her in my arms!!! Blessings to you all!!!
Looks perfect!! Love the pics!!
Beautiful snow, beautiful family, and soon to be a beautiful new daughter. Cannot wait to see you become a family of 5!
Your pictures are always so beautiful! I am looking forward to following your journey to China for Sienna! I am living through others's journeys until we can travel ourselves! Come on LOA! you have so much to look forward to- And it will be here soon! Love, Kim
Beautiful pictures! I cant wait until you travel! I was just thinking about Sienna being there with all the snow, getting to ski and you all being a family of five! So awesome!!!!
Who needs romantic dinners when we have these darling girls, right?? OK, romantic dinners are still nice sometimes!
Looks like you had such a nice weekend!!
Blessings on you and your very important journey coming up SOON. We will be absolutely following your journey every step of the way and can't wait to see you with your Miss Sienna. I pray your 4 month speed track transers to us!

Such cute photos in the snow:)
Before long you'll have 3 beautiful girls to take to the cabin!! Sounds like a fun time. HOpe Jeff is feeling better and you girls all stay healthy.
Amazing pictures. What camera are you using? What beautiful girls you have. Looking forward to seeing the third one in the mix.

So glad you were able to take the girls up north for a nice little 'girls day' away. Sorry that your hubby was down and under though...praying he is feelin' better soon. I can't believe how close you are to your travels. Just think, next time you're up at the cabin, you will be a family of FIVE!!! Love that thought! We have a time share in the same area as your cabin and love it up there. The next time we stay there, Khloe will be home, too! "The Year of the Tiger" will always be a special one for both of our families!! :)
Love and Hugs,
~ Tanya
Love the pictures -- so great. And I can't believe we are home already and you are getting ready to leave!!!! It's been a crazy couple of months. I can't wait to follow along.
Look at those cute girls up North! I am sure you gals had a fun time. Sorry your honey was sick! hope he is feeling better! Getting closer friend! I've been thinking about you- hope all's well!
I am sorry superDad, Jeff, was sick and couldn't join you girls. I am glad you got some time away before the mix changes. You will cherish these precious memories and so will Ainsley and Ruby.
Tomorrow marks the anniversary that we met back in 2007. I remember the anticipation you had as you waited for Ruby's referral. Now I wish we could be together to celebrate the anticipation you'll have of meeting Sienna Grace.
I've been praying for all of you and miss you like crazy.
Love you~
Lisa
