All the way from a tiny village in Hunan, after five months apart, these two precious friends are re-united! What a blessing it was to be a part of this very special day.... Priceless!

Easter Egg Hunt 2010

Yesterday was the our third year of attending the Families with Children from Asia Easter Egg event. Of course it was Sienna's first, which made it even more fun!! Thanks Aunt Bop for your help!!! Three adults to three kids is a nice ratio!!! :)

Sienna was a little shy at first, but soon she was eating candy and playing on the play ground with her sisters.. I think she would swing all day! It's hard to believe she is the same hesitant little girl we had on the play ground in Guangzhou less than three weeks ago!

Thanks to Jodi and the rest of the Mom's that coordinated this fun event!!!!

I will write more soon about Sienna's doctors appointment on Friday. Thank you to all of you who reached out to me about it. Sienna was amazing at this first visit, and we are so proud of her!

Oh, and guess who is coming to visit her best friend on Wednesday? Yes, "Lindsey!" We can not wait to see these two precious friends reunited in America!!

More soon!

Sienna's First Cabin Trip!

Saturday morning we decided to take the girls up to the cabin for an overnight. It ended up being a great plan!!!! The weather was beautiful and the girls had a great time playing outside! Sienna did great sleeping on yet another couch! She did beautifully!! We love how flexible she is! It was a wonderful weekend of bonding with our new daughter and sister! We can't wait to go back.. Soon the docks and the boats will be in... Which means Daddy will soon be fishing with three pink fishing poles!

I can't close without another huge THANK YOU for the petition support!!!!!! WOW!

What's Bedtime Like at Your House?

I thought you would all like to see how much control I have getting "Thing 1 and Thing 2" to bed! Tonight they were bathed, teeth brushed, reading a story, and the party began....Miss Sienna started it! In the week we have been home, we have successfully seen Sienna fall asleep in her bed during story time twice. The other nights we have taken her downstairs to unwind, and fall asleep on the couch. Then we transfer her. It's not ideal, but until we can communicate better with her, we are doing our best! The good news is she is sleeping great once she falls asleep. Which of course means we are getting sleep too!

We are still getting in our groove, but for now, how can you not smile at these two silly sisters! Perhaps their nicknames should be "Double Trouble!"

Sweet Dreams,
Diana

P.S: I am beyond touched by how many of you special people have signed the "Vaccine Waiver Petition" on behalf of Sienna and those yet to be adopted under the Hague Convention. Thank you, Thank you!

A Day in the Life of "Thing 1 and Thing 2"

Please know that we are lovingly referring to Sienna and Ruby as "Thing 1 and Thing 2" because of their ability to destroy any room within 1.5 minutes!!! I wish I had the Cat in the Hat's magic vacuum cleaner!!! :)

So, here are pics of what we have been up to!!! Thank you Lord for beautiful weather!!!!! Sienna has had some really great days. Considering all of the changes in her life, she has done amazing!!! And, Her Rubiness definitely deserves our praises. She is doing so well considering how much of her life is now being shared. Even her clothes!!!! It took her a couple of days to find her sense of humor. We are so proud of her!

Before you go today, will you please click on this petition and sign it for Sienna Grace so future adopted children can receive an immunization waiver!

I will be reaching out to Senator Klobuchar personally about our experience in China!

Blessings,
No Hands But Ours
