Back to School for The Pearl and A Look Back...
Today I was reminded of how fast our children grow up. This morning Ainsley started 4th Grade! She has a brand new teacher, and a wonderful class of old friends. I think she is going to have a great year. Times have changed though... While we took her picture in the familiar first day place, she seemed so grown up to me. She didn't even have a first day of school dress or new shoes for the occasion... Sigh... But, she is the same great kid... Just a little taller, wiser, and more mature this year! As hard as it is to embrace the new routine of getting up early, and out the door on a schedule, she was ready and excited to see what the new year brings! She told me she was a little nervous too... I am praying for a very special year for Ainsley! Early dismissal today, so at 1:30 I will be back in the carpool line, excited to hear about her first day!

Ohhh how I love post like this!! I just love seeing how Ainsley has change in each picture! One thing for sure...that little lady is one beautiful young lady!! OMG and that smile!!!

I've been reading your blog for a while now, since before Ruby, and the first thing I thought when I saw these photos was how grown up Ainsley looked. You can see the beautiful young woman she will become. Then I scrolled down and saw her other first day photos! Sweet...thanks for sharing.
Oh my goodness gracious! I could just eat her up as a kindergartner!!! She was a button! And now a beautiful young lady.

I cannot tell you how close to home this hit me! Em entering thrid grade and looking so, well mature!
Ainsley is a beautiful, beautiful girl, not just because she is pretty but because she is who she is! God is going to use her Diana, in amazing ways...I love watching her life unfold...it dawned on me how long we have all "known one another" from these pictures - I remember vividly her first grade picture! And her kindergarten picture, well, Emily had the same jumper for fall that year :)
Thank you for sharing the lovely pearl with us...I think she has a thing or two to teach us, even the grown ups!
