Ainsley's Birthdays 2001 - 2007
Nine years ago on this day at approximately 7:50pm in Nashville, Jeff and I were married at a simple and lovely ceremony at the home of one of our closest friends. Seven years ago, at 7:50pm, at Baptist Hospital in Nashville, God blessed us with precious Ainsley Kathryn. Today, we celebrate nine years of marriage and seven years with the beautiful Pearl! Happy Anniversary Honey, and Happy Birthday Ainsley! I love you both beyond words!
Today, on this thankful Thursday I give thanks to God for creating this family! I look forward to many many more Happy June 12ths!!

Ruby Tuesday Ramblings
I am not sure I would have really ever jumped in on this blog if Jeff hadn't gotten sick last summer. Kim was the one who encouraged me when she posted a prayer request for our family during that time. I am grateful. I know there are many of you who read our blog, but never leave a comment. I hope someday you will, just so I know who you are. But, anonymous is okay too as long as you feel encouraged here. Jeff was recently in KY at our nephew's graduation and he was floored by how many of his relatives check in on us via "the Pearl & the Ruby!". So, to Jeff's family out there, thank you for following us here!
That was a lot of blah blah blah to say, I will post this summer, but probably less frequently. I hope to do Tuesday posts going forward, labeled.. "Ruby Tuesday Ramblings." These posts will probably consist of what Ruby is up to lately. We will see where they lead...
Check in on us this Thursday/Friday. It is Ainsley's 7th birthday. She is so excited!! I can't believe that seven years ago I was two days away from becoming a mom for the first time. It was such a special time! I can promise some fun pictures around July 8th when two Jiangxi Jewels and their siblings will be featured here!
Oh, well time to go... The Emerald is here, and she and The Pearl have a show for me to watch!
Blessings,
Diana
P.S: Congratulations to the June 9th Referral Group!

She LUVVS Me!!!!

Three little words, from this tiny bundle of joy called 'Her Rubiness' turned me into a big mush ball yesterday. With no warning at all, she said to me, "I LUVV You!" Obviously, I know that Ruby loves me.... But, to really hear her say it, especially with no prompting was absolutely priceless! Does this qualify as Ruby's first complete sentence too?
I love you too, Ruby Mei! The joy you bring me is truly a gift!
Love,
Mommy

Thankful Thursday!

Class of 2008
Today I am thankful that I get to be the Aunt to this amazing Graduate! Tonight Jake says goodbye to his high school class, and hello to a brilliant future. He is a focused, intelligent, wise beyond his years, loving young man who we are so proud of. His resume will impress any employer even before he starts his goal to graduate from college with a double major in Entrepreneurship and International Business. He will be attending Indiana University in the fall! Due to his outstanding academic achievements, he has already been accepted to IU's Business School!
Here are just a few of Jake's accomplishments for this Aunt to boast about today:
- Awarded Mr. Future Business Leader - State of KY
- Awarded a $20,000 Scholarship from The Toyota Company
- Channel 9 (Fox News) Student of the Week
- National Debate Finalist
- Minds on Fire Award
- Largest 3rd Party Fundraiser Organizer - Cutting out Alzheimers
- Florence Rotary Club Scholarship Recipient
- Kentucky Farm Bureau Scholarship Recipient
- Captain of Debate Team
- Future Business Leaders of America President
Jake's long term goal is to own his own successful global business in the sports marketing and representation field. I have absolutely no doubt that he will. It will be perfect timing too. Ruby will be in school by this time, and I will be ready to go back to work. Perhaps, I can get a job with my nephew!!
Congratulations Jake on finishing high school strong! We are so proud of your accomplishments. But, mostly we are proud of you for the person that you are! We wish you nothing but the very best as you move forward into this exciting time in your life! We can't wait to see the plans God has for you!
We love you!
