A day to myself?

Jeff is having a Daddy-Daughter day with his girls today. They are making a trip up to our lake house to check on a few things. It is a beautiful day, and I know they will have fun. They were so excited to drive in "Daddy's car!" Both packed a bag for the road trip, piled in and waved goodbye! It is really a strange feeling watching my three treasures drive away.... So, good for them and for me! I have been really dragging lately with Bronchitis, so I am grateful for a low key day to relax and get a few things done.
Happy Saturday to me and you!

Blog Makeovers!

I had plans to just update the photos on this blog header. I contacted Danielle who has been my "Interior (blog) Decorator" since I started the Pearl/Ruby to help me with another project here. I was so pleased with how that turned out, I just had have her love up this one too. I asked for a girly look, and Danielle delivered! Thanks Danielle! I am so happy that I decided to do them together!
The other little project is a photography blog I have started, called "What I See..." It will be the place I post my favorite photos as I try to learn and improve my skills behind the D90. I was blessed (and quite surprised) to be asked to contribute to the Mamarazzi Blog. This has inspired me to step it up a notch. I am also taking a class this summer from Christi at Rawsii, so I need a place to put my homework! Hopefully, I will look back on it a year from now and see growth in this passion of mine.
Thanks to The Pearl and the Ruby for inspiring me daily! And thanks to the Mamarazzi's for sharing your gifts with me! I am blown away by the talent in this group!
Blessings,

It feels like Spring!!

We have experienced the big melt off this week! We finally hit temperatures that send you outside and to the park! We both have had some serious cabin fever due to a nasty cold we decided to share. So, we broke free yesterday and splashed in a few puddles, and swung on a few swings! Ruby is ready for Mexico. She has her pail and shovel almost packed for the sand castles she wants to build! We are in count down mode! Until then, we will take 60 degrees and sunny please!
Blessings,

Firsts for Her Rubiness...
We have a very good friend who works for licensing at Disney. She spoils our girls when she visits. Thursday night she arrived for dinner with gift bags of goodies for the Pearl & The Ruby.
Our little Ruby is quite the High School Musical Fan! (Yes she has big sister influence!) She knows the songs, and loves Gabriella. LeeAnn knew this and brought her a very fun doll with complete wardrobe!! Thanks LeeAnn!

Ruby's First Barbie Doll! "Gab - Ella" = Gabriella!
Friday night we had a little game night. I will admit we do not do this enough when we are not at the cabin!!! Well it did not take Ruby long to master "Old Maid!" She was so excited to be part of the game!!! I see some competitive card games in our future!

Thank you!

The Ballerina Dress
Thanks for all of your great feedback on the photos of the Pearl yesterday! I agree, color is the way to go for spring! Now that we are so close to Spring Break I will see what kind of pics I get from the beach too. Can't wait to work on that project!
Blessings!

Sepia, Black & White or a little color for Spring?
I am working on updating the photos of The Pearl & The Ruby on the header of this blog. So, what is your vote for The Pearl? Sepia or Black & White, or a little color? I am still working on a photo of Her Rubiness. She is in to looking down or away from the camera lately.. I have 100's of beautiful photos of those gorgeous eye lashes!
