Prayers for Madison.. Update #2

Great News! Maddie is off the ventilator and breathing successfully on her own! She is also an unhappy camper about all of it. She wants milk, and food!!! Unfortunately, nothing but water for today. Bless her little heart. So, it sounds like today went as well as it possible can! Praise the Lord for taking care of Madison!!! I am sure a long night for Julie and Todd, but one I know they will happily endure!
Thanks again for your prayers!

Julie just called, and Maddie's surgery went very well!!! Praise the Lord!! She is in recovery and they have not seen her yet. Now, the next milestone will be to get her off the ventilator today and breathing on her own. My understanding is that they really want to see this happen today! So we need prayers that Madison will not fight too hard as they bring her out of sedation. Dr. Overman tried to prepare Julie & Todd for this period. Saying it is very difficult for both the child and the parents. By nature she will want to get the tubes out... So, most likely she will be restrained.
So my prayer is for Maddie to understand in some way how important it is to be "still." And, for strength for Julie and Todd as they watch their baby go through this next part of this very important recovery stage. Thank you for your prayers for our friends!

Precious Maddie turns 2 on Saturday. Today, she will be in surgery for 4-6 hours as they do the third and most involved surgery to repair her precious heart. Many of you prayed for Maddie when she was born with Hypoplastic Left Heart. Thank you for that. She is a miracle baby!
Julie is one of my dearest friends. And, I woke up with such a heavy heart putting myself in her shoes today. God has given this Mom a strength that comes only from him, and I am so amazed by it.
So, today I lift up sweet (and feisty) Maddie! And, her team of doctors and nurses. And, of course her parents, little Katie, and both sets of Grandparents too!!!
"Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you."
~1Peter 5:7
Julie, if you see this, I am sending you the worlds biggest hug. CALL ME!! :)

My prayers and thoughts are also with Maddie today. Jesus loves the little children...
Sweet little Maddie. Praying for you today as you go through more than a lot of us will ever go through in our lifetime.

Sweet girl!! I can't believe it has been two years. I remember your call for prayers when she was born... look how those prayers were answered. Such a lovely little girl!!
My thoughts and prayers continue to be with the family. Much peace.
Praying for sweet Madison to be "still" and for the Lord to give peace and comfort to her and her parents.
Blessings, AShley
Prayers with their family and especially with Madison!
Thank you Lord.
So happy to hear she is progressing well.

Will pray for Maddy! This condition is close to me as my nephew who would have been the same age as my Ethan, was born with a left hypoplastic heart and was with us for 3 weeks before he went home to Jesus. His 3 weeks were amazing! He had a few other things than the hypoplastic heart- simething like transversion of teh great arterys so there were other things that made his heart really difficult to repair. Maddy obviously is doing great and I will continue to lift her up in prayer.
Hugs,
Christy :)
Sending prayers to Maddie's way! Glad the surgery went well- keep us posted on recovery and keeping "still".
What a DOLL BABY!! Lifting Madison, as well as Mommy & Daddy up in prayer! WONDERFUL NEWS that she is NOW off the ventilator!
