Finally.. Snow!

AinsleyEmme-9

I have lived in Minnesota most of my life. I don't remember a winter when the first time you hit a sledding hill was February 21st! We have yet to have a worthy snow storm, but Monday night we were blessed with enough of the white stuff to make it fun! I realized as I was putting on all their gear, that this was the first time Emme Jade had worn her waterproof winter boots and snow pants since she has been home. She was so excited to play with her sisters and the neighbor kids.. Her first time down the hill was met with big smiles and that sweet "Little Bean" laughter! Today it's 40 degrees and beautiful... So, I am thankful they got a little fun in the snow while it lasted! If that predictable Spring storm hits this year, they are going to have a blast!!

Sienna and Shaelee are together again!!!!! This time our sweet friends are visiting the Great White Snow Globe!!!! What a fun day for all of the girls, and Daddy too!!!! They built a snowman, and a fantastic igloo with the help of our resident Eskimoe!

There is one thing that both Sienna and Shaelee admitted.. They never saw snow like this in Hengshan!

The First Snow!

We measure snow here in the north country in worthiness vs. inches...  We were at the cabin yesterday and the first flakes fell.  Enough to motivate the girls to get into their snow suits, and make some snow angels!!!  Today, back home we woke up to the grass and the rooftops being lightly covered.   Not exactly worthy of snow plows or snowmobiles.  But, to the two little girls that live in our house, it was a morning of fun outside and hot chocolate when they were ready to come in! It just makes me smile watching them play together!  I personally can't wait until the first real worthy snow fall is here.   It is always so beautiful!  And, of course when you live where we do, it can be fun for the big kids in our house too!

Can you believe it is December tomorrow?

Let it snow!
