The Last week of Summer!

Ruby's first middle of the lake swim with Daddy & Ainsley!
Right before she jumped......
....off the boat to Daddy!!!  Way to go Ruby!

One week from today I will be packing a lunch, making a respectable breakfast, taking first day of school photos on the back deck, and car pooling again!  We will have a second grader!  How can it be?

We will make the most of this week.  Play dates, last minute school supplies, meet the teacher Open House, etc...    Other than Labor Day, this will be our last long weekend at the lake.  It has been a great summer!  But, it has gone way too fast.  The good news is that Ainsley is looking forward to school.  That's all we can pray for every year!

Ruby will have a fun fall too.  This year she will attend a 2 year old class with me, Bible Study with me and a fun toddler gymnastics class which I know she will love.  She has learned the term, "Stick It!" from watching the Olympics....  As I have said before, Jeff and I will not be surprised if she is destined to spend her free time in a gym someday.  The higher the better for Ruby Mei!

What will be new for me this fall?  I am going back to work!!!!  Yes, you read that correctly.  But, this time it will be short-term, part-time, and working for Jeff!!!!  Today is my first day of training!!!  Without getting into all of the details, Jeff and I worked in the same industry for many years.  So, this is not a big stretch for me.  I will be filling in for two girls that he has going on Maternity Leave.  I am actually looking forward to it.  Our care for Ruby is still up in the air, so I may be working from home during nap time most days.  But, until Labor Day our regular fabulous baby-sitter is going to help me out!

Well, I have to go.  Time to figure out what I am going to wear to my first day at work!  :)
(No photos on the deck though!)

Have a great week!

Blessings,
Diana

Sorry you don't have a thing going on my friend...Do you hear me whining wondering when I'm going to get to talk to you??? :o) I mean, I know your boss is such a bear.

Enjoy these last few days of summer and I hope all will fall into place with your new schedule. Our love and best wishes to sweet Ainsley as she starts second grade.
