Ruby Tuesday Ramblings.....
Ainsley got an S+ on her first speech!!!
I just love this color on her...
She is trying not to laugh here!!!
She can't take it anymore......
Ainsley had her first public speaking opportunity last week at school. Their class had a community building project. Ainsley had to create a building starting with a shoe box. She was assigned the Vet. She designed it all at school on her own. It turned out so great! I was invited for the presentation, and I was really proud of her. She was poised and confident. Since her Mom was a Communications and Business major, this was fun for me!!! I loved doing speeches in school!!!! Today, she received her grade, S+!!! Way to go Ainsley!
Tonight we were watching "Dancing with the Stars" and the Kemp's commercial came on.. She was so excited that her Grandma was here to see it... I just love that cow!!! :)
Ruby is becoming a verbal explosion! In fact tonight, I got some cute video that I am hoping to edit and post here. But, I can't find my cord for my video camera.... UGH!!! I have not used it since I did the China video, and I have no idea what I did with it. It will surface, and I will play I-Movie editor again.... Anyway, here are some of her favorite things to say....:
"NO WAY"
"Me TOO"
"Oh NO"
"HELLO"
"YES"
"YUM or NUM"
"BYE BYE"
"LUV YOU"
"1,2,3,2"
"A,E,U, Eggy!"
"BIBLE"
"MAMA"
"DADDY"
"Ai-Lee"
"Woofs!"
MINE!
The cutest is the way she says "NO WAY!!" Ainsley has no idea who taught her that!!!
Ruby has four opportunities a week now to be in a setting where she is with a teacher and other children. I am excited for her to learn to stand in line, wait her turn, share, etc... She is really doing well! Her enthusiasm can get the best of her, but we are working on it!! Hopefully we will not have to leave gymnastics this week.... She just loves it so much, she is beside herself when the teacher stops the fun to give instructions.... I removed her from the room three times last week... Bless her "spirited" heart!!!
I am still working part-time. Jeff's mom is here for the next two weeks to help with Ruby during the day when we are not at one of our fun classes together. It is a blessing to have her here and to have Ruby home where she enjoys being. Thank you Arlene!
I can't close tonight without a big "Praise the Lord!" Susannah is on a plane right now heading home! What a blessing to witness mountain size miracles for this precious little girl! I am in awe of this family, and their faith! I look forward to following their journey and for watching God's plans for this child!
Lastly, congrats to Debbie & Jim who have ADORABLE and TINY Lily Sha Hope! They are having major internet issues in Hunan, so her posts may be sporadic. But, there are photos up of their tiny blessing now. She is hoping to send some more to me tomorrow that I can post from here.
OK - I have to go to bed! This is what happens when Jeff travels! I miss you honey!
Blessings,
Di

That is WONDERFUL news that they are heading home - you are so right - this was nothing short of a miracle.
Congrat's to your big girl! You must be so proud!
Really enjoyed chatting with you ;D
Ladybug hugs,

What a great post. Your daughters are just precious! So glad school is going well and Ruby loves it so much. The eagerness sounds so much like EllaKate a few months ago- she has settled down considerably. Whew! I too am so thankful Susannah is almost home! And so happy to see Lily Sha Hope with her new family!!! God is so good!!!
Blessings,
Sharon
They are so adorable. We watched Dancing with the Stars last night too! I love that show. Wish we could see Ainsley's commercial!
I can't believe how small Lily is! It's hard for me to even believe.
I can't sleep when Richard's gone either.
Have a great week!
I am doing the happy dance. My catalog arrived today. I can't wait to sit with a green tea and have a look! thank you.

Good for Ainsley and her speaking presentation. That is so cool that she is so good at that. She is just a natural actor-- I love it!! She totally reminds me of ME!!! I totally loved public speaking as a kis as well as acting. That was my major outlet and I also got very excited like she does as well- I would often have to "calm down" becuiase my excitement would ge the best of me. Anyway, she looks adorbale and how cool that you are encouraging her to really pursue her acting-- I love that!!!
Ruby looks adorabel and I agree that color looks great on her. I also love the word explosion. Mia is doing the same and it is so fun to hear her speak so much-- love it!!!
I have been posting updates on my blog for Debbie, Jim and Lily as well. Debbie lives very close and we go to the same church and Mia and Lily are both from Hunan and 11 months apart. I am sooo excited that they will have eachother to grow up with and Debbie is a great friend. Like you said, if you lived close, im sure you would be great friends. She is just an amazing woman of God!!!!
Christy :)
Great job Ainsley! And Ruby is just so precious! I think it was your dress that Hayley borrowed this weekend?? I photographed her girls- so much fun! MN is amazing, were it not for those winters I'd move there tomorrow!
What a great post. Always love your Ruby Tuesday Ramblings.
I am praising God too, that this precious family is on their way home...with their sweet little girl....I cannot wait to see how GOD uses their story...oh what a testimony of faith in the GOD they love!
