Sunday Snapshot {Volleyball}
Today Ainsley's had her last volleyball tourney for the season. What a great experience it has been for "The Pearl." She has worked so hard, and improved so much.. Today she played out of her shoes! We are so proud of her! She and her buddy Hannah are the youngest on their team by 2-3 years! Many of the teams they played were 13-14 year old girls that have been playing together for a few years. Hannah and Ainsley played up the entire season!! It definitely motivated them to work hard! We look forward to seeing what they can do next year! Our first full season of volleyball was awesome!!! I love being a volleyball Mom! Way to go Ainsley!!!! It was so fun to watch you dig down and play your best!! "Side Out!"

Head over to my friend Stef's to see what her blog pals are posting for Sunday Snapshot!

I took these photos with my Nikon D700. I used my new lens for the first time, and I love it! It is the Sigma 70-200 f2/8.
The first photo was shot 2500-ISO, Shutter 1/160 and aperture of 2.8. No flash, Manual.
The D700 is known for being able to shoot at high ISO's.. I have never really tested that until today. I was really pleased with how in focus the majority of my shots were!! My ISO's today were from 2500-5000! In-door gym with no natural light. This is why Ineeded wanted this new lens! It did not disappoint!

Yay! So glad to see and hear about your new lens... it's awesome! Love these shots, and love hearing about your biggest girl. She is something special!
Happy Sunday, sweet friend!

Love the pics!!! I can NEVER get good gym shots, so impressed!! And again I will say how impressed I am with Ainsly playing volleyball, I am such a volleyball coward and so appreciate those who are volleyball brave and good at it too:)
You know I think these are some pretty fabulous shots of Miss A in action on the court!! I feel like I was right down there with her:)
Enjoy the new lens my friend....cannot wait to see more!
xoxo,
Lisa
Way to go, Ainsley!
You should be so proud, Diana. Enjoy your new lens!
Hi Diana ~ It's always easy and fun to post about your Littles and I enjoy every word you write and every photo you post of them! They are Precious!
But... Your Pearl, she is Special! Priceless! I've read your blog, going waaay back to when she was just 5 years old. She has a "thing". A "something Special", that not every child has. Wait! They do ALL have their own special gift, but, A is unique!
I know how very proud you are of your Beautiful Girl. But, I wanted to be another adult who sees and feels their childs gifts, the way you see them! And, I wanted to share my thought with you, her Mama!
I know that parents (Mama's in particular), LOVE to hear that someone else "sees" those things and acknowledges them! So, know that I have a special place in my heart for the Big Sister, the eldest daughter in your life!
You have done so well with her. Through your camera lens, you have the gifted ability to catch who she is! Your photos of her capture the strong, sensitive, loving young person she is. I just know that God is going to use her for some wonderful things!
ALL of that, to say that Ainsley projects a pureness and that, my friend, is refreshing! Keep doing what it is you do with her! And, be proud and pleased at this daughter of yours!
You are a great Mommy to ALL of your girls! I think you might have needed to hear these words today. Hugs ~ Jo
Way to go Ainsley! Looks like you had so much fun and a really proud Mom cheering you on!
I am so impressed that you could shoot at that high of ISO with such good results.
Ainsley is so grown up! How does that happen?
I reflect that same as Jo. I adore Ainsley!! She is such a GEM!! Ainsley has literally grown before our eyes. Ainsley is such a beautiful young lady inside and out! I can't wait to see the things she will conquer. Great season Ainsley!! You may not "stand tall" among your teammates but you are BIG in my eyes!!
Thes are very nice! Love these and the way they turned out in gym:)
Oh my goodness! Look at her long legs : ) It looks like she is having a great time with her team. They look intense! : ) Have fun with your lens!
