14 little Kindergartners have been praying every day for Ivy Joy for a while now. Her picture is on their wall at school, her needs are on their hearts, and their prayers are being heard... A group of precious 5th grade girls took their recess yesterday to work on cards for Ivy Joy.
It's faith in action!

This morning at 9am/11am central time, Ivy Joy will be removed from ECMO!!! It seems that her precious lungs don't need it anymore!!! Can I just stay this is specifically what we were asking God for yesterday!!! So many beautiful lessons that ultimately teach and remind us of exactly how powerful prayer is! Thank you for being part of "Team Ivy!" God is answering our specific prayers in miraculous ways. It's a beautiful picture of how personal God can be! Ivy Joy has a long road ahead for her.. But, it is the hope of a recovery and a life with pink toes and pink fingers, and lungs that breathe freely, and a heart that beats independently that makes every step a victory! I look forward to sharing good news from Arizona later today!!

Surgery for Ivy Joy Tomorrow!!

Updates on Ivy are on Mary's Blog! Please pray for God's miracles and blessings today for this wonderful family!!!!!

At 8:00am tomorrow morning, Monday (AZ time) Ivy Joy will undergo the open heart surgery she so desperately needs. At this time we do not know if the valve that we were praying for has been found. By faith, we believe that God will use the skilled team that is in place to perform a miracle on Ivy's broken heart. While Mary and Bryan wait for updates on their baby girl, will you join me in prayer for her?... for them! We were reminded in church today that when we approach Jesus in confidence He wants to give us the desires of our hearts. But, we must believe that He can! I believe without hesitation that God has protected Ivy for this very time. I believe God had Mary in China just in time to get Ivy home to give her this chance to be physically healed. So many beautiful miracles have been witnessed thus far. I will pray with confidence for God to fix her broken heart so she can live a full life. I believe and trust that He can do it! What a testimony she will have to share one day!

Ivy Joy Needs Our Prayers!

IMG_8211

Less than one month ago, Ivy Joy met her Mama for the first time in China. On that day, she captured the hearts of all who followed their journey. She is one precious and tiny miracle!
China said she was in-operable. Mary and Bryan said with faith all things are possible. So, they answered the call, and said, "Yes Lord, send us!" They made this journey to Ivy knowing she may be terminal! It takes a very special family to do that! They are willing to love her for as long as God will allow. We pray that is for a very long time!

Yesterday, a very long catheter procedure provided HOPE for Ivy Joy! The surgical team at Phoenix Children's did not say Ivy was in-operable.. They said her case is very complicated but it is not hopeless!!! But, they NEED a human pulmonary valve to replace hers that is practically non-existent. Ivy needs this valve asap to survive her surgery! Will you join me in praying specifically for a toddler donor heart with the pulmonary valve attached. I know this is a heavy prayer. It is because of the loss of another that Ivy will have a chance. I pray that when this happens, the donor family will find great comfort in the blessing they will share. The life of another...

"He gives and He takes Away" keeps playing in my mind...

We love this family, and this precious child we have yet to meet! And from the bottom of my heart I thank you for standing in the gap for Ivy Joy!

Please stop by Mary's blog, and leave a word of encouragement!

Jesus looked at them and said, "With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible." ~Matthew 19:26

Welcome Ivy Joy!!!

DSC_0192Blog

On more than one occasion God has used our tiny blessings to bless us more than we could ever hope for. Two years ago we gained an extended family when we adopted Sienna Grace. Over time we have learned a lot about love from this big clan that consists of two very special families.. Our red thread was our daughters from Hunan. Last summer these two very special Mom's took care of Sienna and Ruby while we traveled to China to bring home Emme Jade. These incredible women un-selfishly traveled to get our girls, and traveled to bring them home. In between they loved our daughters like their own. They are both amazing examples of how Christ wants us to be: His Hands and Feet!

Tonight I have the privilege of scribing for one of these special Mom's.. My friend Mary was united this evening with her precious new daughter, Ivy Joy in Hangzhou... We learned about Ivy while we were in China this past summer.. We have been praying for this day for a long time... Finally... Finally... She is safely in the arms of one of the most amazing mom's I know. Congratulations "S" family.. God has chosen one very special little girl for your sweet flock!!! She is precious and beautiful!! Hand picked long ago just for you!!! Welcome Ivy Joy... We love you already! And we are praying for your protection and healing as you begin your journey home with your forever family!
