The Official Countdown has begun!! And a Hotel Question!

Plane tickets are purchased, the house packing has begun, and the to do list is long.... Many of you have asked who is traveling.. Ainsley will be joining us again! "The Littles" have a fun filled two weeks to look forward to! We are thrilled and thankful to be on to the official white board countdown at Jeff's office!!

For those of you who have been in Nanjing before, can you recommend a hotel? BAAS puts their families at The Mandarin Garden.. I need honest feedback from my been there done that pals! THANKS!

I woke up to a surprise email this morning that our TA has been issued!!!

We are so excited and thankful to know that we are really going to China!!!... AGAIN!

A Short Break and a Very Long To Due List!

This Mom needs to take a blog break while I wait for Emme's TA to arrive. (Expected in the next 2-9 days!!) Right now we are hoping to meet her on August 8th or August 15th! That means I have 4 weeks to do A LOT of things on my VERY long list.. Trying to enjoy our gorgeous weather too since we will have a shortened summer this year! Pool today, beach tomorrow! And, then I have to hunker down and pack up our house... Did I mention we are moving? Just three miles away, but it is still a MOVE!!! Oh, and that it is happening July 21st!!! Wish you were all here to help me! I am very thankful for my awesome husband who will keep things moving in the right direction! We are very excited that we will be "settled" before Emme Jade arrives!

So, I will be back with our TA news, and our travel dates as soon as we get the official invite from China to come and get our sweet girl!!!!

In the meantime, prayers for God to orchestrate the details of our days, of our trip, and for protection for Emme will be so appreciated!!!! Her birthday is July 24th, and we have a special day planned for her in Yangzhou. I can't wait to share pictures of our little sweet girl celebrating with her friends! This will be her last birthday without her family!! Jeff and I just can't wait to meet our little bright light next month!

Kate Bear's Birthday Party!

Today, we kicked off our month of July birthdays with Ruby's favorite furry companion, Kate Bear! Three years ago, Kate Bear was a gift given to Ruby by Kim and Kate when they came to visit us over the 4th of July in 2008. Kate Bear, or "Teddy" as Ruby has nicknamed her friend has traveled miles with Ruby... Let's just say she is very very loved! Ruby has been asking me for days if we could have a birthday party for "Teddy" this year... So, this morning we baked her a cake, and celebrated her little pal... We threw a little party in the "garden suite!"

Happy 4th of July!

Happy 4th of July Everyone!!!! Since Ruby was the only one up for some Independence Day pics this morning, I chose to do a little look back of her! So many sweet photos since she became a U.S. Citizen in 2007! We are up at the cabin enjoying a gorgeous weekend! Have a wonderful and safe holiday!
