PRAISE from Arizona!!!!!

UPDATE: 8:02pm - Ivy Joy is FREE of Ecmo!!!!! Thank you Jesus for this answered prayer!!
Check Mary's blog later for more.... YIPPEE!!!!

Spring-0721SillySienna

14 little Kindergartners have been praying every day for Ivy Joy for a while now. Her picture is on their wall at school, her needs are on their hearts, and their prayers are being heard... A group of precious 5th grade girls took their recess yesterday to work on cards for Ivy Joy.
It's faith in action!

This morning at 9am/11am central time, Ivy Joy will be removed from ECMO!!! It seems that her precious lungs don't need it anymore!!! Can I just stay this is specifically what we were asking God for yesterday!!! So many beautiful lessons that ultimately teach and remind us of exactly how powerful prayer is! Thank you for being part of "Team Ivy!" God is answering our specific prayers in miraculous ways. It's a beautiful picture of how personal God can be! Ivy Joy has a long road ahead for her.. But, it is the hope of a recovery and a life with pink toes and pink fingers, and lungs that breathe freely, and a heart that beats independently that makes every step a victory! I look forward to sharing good news from Arizona later today!!

"I prayed for this child, and the Lord has granted me what I asked of him."

Surgery for Ivy Joy Tomorrow!!

Updates on Ivy are on Mary's Blog! Please pray for God's miracles and blessings today for this wonderful family!!!!!

IMG_8354

At 8:00am tomorrow morning, Monday (AZ time) Ivy Joy will undergo the open heart surgery she so desperately needs. At this time we do not know if the valve that we were praying for has been found. By faith, we believe that God will use the skilled team that is in place to perform a miracle on Ivy's broken heart. While Mary and Bryan wait for updates on their baby girl, will you join me in prayer for her?... for them! We were reminded in church today that when we approach Jesus in confidence He wants to give us the desires of our hearts. But, we must believe that He can! I believe without hesitation that God has protected Ivy for this very time. I believe God had Mary in China just in time to get Ivy home to give her this chance to be physically healed. So many beautiful miracles have been witnessed thus far. I will pray with confidence for God to fix her broken heart so she can live a full life. I believe and trust that He can do it! What a testimony she will have to share one day!

"I have come so that they may have life and it in abundance." ~John 10:10b

Ruby and Hannah yesterday!!! 5 Years Later!

Ruby was so excited yesterday! She got to skip school to meet an old friend! Hannah and Ruby were foster sisters in Yugan. Thanks to their orphanage Yahoo group I connected with her Mom shortly after we returned from adopting Ruby. Until yesterday we have never met in person. Thanks to email and Christmas Cards we have been able to keep in touch. But there is nothing like spending time with someone that shares your daughters past. It was a special day! Thank you John and Caroline for making this trip!! Hannah is precious!

Ruby and Hannah did not skip a beat.. They hit it off immediately, played great together, and even gave us their best for a mini photo shoot!!!! We wish Miss Hannah lived closer... Hopefully this will be the first of many visits for these sweet Yugan Sisters!

"The Middles" and "The Little" Hit the Pool!

untitled-0738

I think this photo above tells the story of how Emme Jade felt about starting swimming lessons this evening!!!! I continue to be amazed by her enthusiasm and delight in new situations. We are blessed! She smiled through the entire lesson.. She even got that adorable face in the water on her first day!!! I think we have another "little fish" in the family!

"The Middles" are together for this camp!!! They had a semi-private lesson which was so fun for them! I signed them up thinking there would be four in their class! This camp runs for 4 weeks, 2 lessons a week! By the end of it they just might be ready for swim team!! (At least that is what they are telling me after day 1! :) ) I don't think they have really been swimming since school began. So they were totally fired up to jump in!

Tomorrow (Wednesday) we have a very special day planned. Ruby gets to play hooky to spend the day with her first friend and roommate ever! She had a foster sister in China, and they were adopted one month apart!!!!!!! Hannah and her parents are visiting Minneapolis, and we are so blessed to have the opportunity to spend the day with them! We have been waiting for this day for a very long time.. Well, almost 5 years to be exact! I know it's going to be a very sweet day!
