Happy Birthday Julie!!!!
Yesterday Julie received the best birthday gift of all! Maddie successfully had her ventilator, catheter, and feeding tubes removed!!!!!! By mid afternoon she was back in her Mommy's arms! Praise God for protecting Madison and for answering our prayers! Todd & Julie are hopeful that she will be moved our of PICU today or tomorrow!

When special days come along such as a birthday, I think most every woman wants some type of exciting frivolous gift. Maybe something sparkly, maybe a new outfit, etc., etc.
However, when times of crisis come, your whole perspective about a what a fantastic gift is changes. I am sure Julie's perspective has changed completely with Madison. I am glad there were special gifts of progress on Julie's birthday and feel certain she didn't overlook those for one moment in hopes of a more frivolous gift.
She has a gem of a friend in you! The pictures are beautiful.
