Notes on the Pearl....

A little Mommy guilt here about not posting about the big sister lately! Besides anniversaries, we have just been.... busy!!! Ainsley kicked off March with her second piano recital. She did a fantastic job!!! We were very proud of her because she had a last minute song added by her teacher. It was challenging, and she worked very hard at it. She delivered it beautifully!
The recital was more fun for her this time because her two best pals were in it too, little Katie and Lauren! They enjoyed supporting each other. We all took the girls out to celebrate after the recital!
Another milestone for The Pearl. She did her very first report for second grade. The subject was Penguins, and it was quite impressive. Before we know it she will have her own laptop and she will be surfing the internet for information! She loved the project, and she learned a lot. They are now on to sled dogs which she is very excited about!!
Saturday, we had a mother/daughter day with two of our neighbors. We attended a fashion show sponsored by the Jr. League of MSP. It was an American Girl Fashion Show held at the Mall of America. After the show we had lunch at their new store here. It was a very fun afternoon!
As we move into spring she is getting ready for her ballet recital. She is taking a break from piano while her teacher is on maternity leave. She announced to me today that she is ready for winter to be over. We are in official spring break count down mode here at our house!
So, all is well with the Pearl as she anxiously awaits for her first top tooth to fall out!!!!
Blessings!

Ainsley, what an amazing girl you are! I loved reading about your recital and how well you are doing at school with your reports. Good job!

Ainsley is such a beauty! We saw her commercial during American Idol last night and I kept saying "Charlotte! Look! It's Ainsley!" Between Ainsley and her Uncle Kirby, Charlotte will just think it is normal for people she knows to be on TV. :)
