Two Years Ago Today.....
I was doing the last minute things you do before you leave for CHINA for two weeks to pick up your daughter!!!!! It was an exciting time, and it truly is hard to believe it was 24 months ago! I think I will post my favorite pics from that special time over the next two weeks.
Ruby fell asleep in her crib while I was into my second round of, "I Love You Like Crazy Cakes" last night. It is the first time I have ever read it to her.... As I stared at her beautiful, peaceful face, I couldn't help but get choked up. She has come so far in two years. I believe that most of her grieving is behind her now. She looks so peaceful when she sleeps most nights. She has taught me so much more than I have taught her. Some days it is overwhelming when I truly pause to think about how blessed I am to be her Mom. I read this quote on Mandi's blog today and it speaks volumes about how I feel, and why I am so grateful that Jeff and I were called to China to love Yue Meng Ru forever...

I can only imagine what 2 years feels like. We have experienced so much in just 5 months. Ruby is such a pretty little girl. I love the quote.

I so know how you feel. DAILY I wonder if I will ever get past the emotion I feel when I look at Hudson. How much I love him and can't get over we were chosen to be his parents. We are the blessed ones!!!
