When The Wait Gets Long...
The truth is waiting is hard... Especially when you receive photos of your precious little girl with tears in her eyes, and a runny nose. Waiting is hard when you receive an email from a special Mom who met your daughter and held her in her arms... A Mom who understands just how hard it is to wait for a little girl half a world away. A lovely Mom who told me my daughter is petite and dainty and that she has a beautiful smile. Waiting is hard when you haven't seen your child's face.. But when you have, and you have heard her sweet voice on a video, it is in-describable. I am thankful that I do know it will happen. And, it will happen on God's time, not mine.. So, while I wait I will continue to give thanks that Emme Jade is in a special orphanage. I will give thanks for the amazing photos we have been blessed with. And, I will pray for my daughter. For protection, and for her sweet little heart to be ready for the love that is waiting for her here. And, I will pray for favor from China for the approvals that are still needed to bring her home!
Thank you "R" family for blessing us with your thoughtfulness! We appreciate you checking on Emme Jade for us... And, we are so happy she loves her sparkly shoes!! We have a feeling she is going to fit in beautifully here!

Di, I am sure it feels like every day is a week now. I know you are so ready to bring her home! God's got it handled and she is protected and I am sure those are the things keeping you sane right now. Praying for July or August (ok really July). Love ya! Mary
She is ADORABLE! Wishing you peace during this (sometimes excruciating) wait.
Poor Emme Jade - she must have been confused about what was going on!! I remember a Mom visited New Day & Mya had to be brought in with her foster Mom (broke her routine) to take pictures for me. They were the saddest pictures I had ever seen! I think something was lost in translation!!
Praying the time flies so you can the one to wipe away Emme's tears! She is beautiful, even when she's not smiling!

That psalm is perfect. I can only imagine how hard it is to wait those long when your heart is so full of love for her! You know that you have my prayers for the wait to dissolve and for the lord to prepare Emme's heart for her family.
P.S> She is even cute all teary- eyed.
How sweet it will be (for both of you) when the wait is over!!! SO worth it!! When we are in China, we will hardly remember this wait. God has not brought you this far to forget about you! I am praying for favor and speedy approvals!! Hang on...it won't be long and we'll be on that plane to China!!!!
She is just the sweetest......so sorry this is so hard..... God's timing is perfect and I know you know that..... still the wait is so very hard!!! Liftng prayers up for you and your family!!
The day will come when you hands will be the one to wipe away all of Sweet Emme's tears. Praying the months becomes weeks, the weeks become days, the days becomes hours, and the hours becomes minutes. Because the SECOND she is in your arms, she will be with her FOREVER family. Until that TIME, may her little tears be wiped away by loving hands.
What a precious gift these photos are! Hang in there. It really is so hard. I keep thinking... "This time next year this waiting will be just a memory:)"

She is just precious! I know the wait is hard...there are times you feel like the love in your heart is going to overflow and you just can't wait any longer to hold her in your arms. Hang in there...in God's perfect timing she will be united with you and her entire family...praying for you all:)
My heart just breaks for you during the wait ... it really is the hardest part!!
