A Happy Day!!!
This is a special day for a sweet friend of mine!! Paige and her precious family met their new daughter Janie in Changsha! Janie has a special place in my heart. She was a Pearl River Baby. I have looked at photos of Janie since August, 2009. I think I have seen her smile twice.. Many of us have prayed that Janie's heart would be prepared for her new family. There is no doubt God answered these prayers.. I have never seen a little girl look so happy to finally be with her family!!! What a blessing to watch another miracle unfold! Alivia, Olivia, and Gabriella Need Your Help!!
I hope you will all take the time today to jump over to my friend Kathy's blog! She has some great auction items, and a fun raffle up to help her bring her newest daughter, Alivia, home from China!
Due to some unexpected circumstances they find themselves in need of additional funds for traveling to bring their precious daughter home! Their travel authorization is due any day!!!! I just might need that Nook for my upcoming trip!!

Next I have also have posted an old friend over at Pearl River Outreach! Olivia, actually grew up in Hengshan with Sienna!!!! She was one of our Bamboo Babies up until one year ago. She was transferred to Changsha for physical therapy. Well now she is back, and we would love to watch out for her again! She needs 3 sponsors to make this happen!!!! {Black and White Wednesday} Fabulous Fundraiser!
A few weeks ago I received an email from an old friend... Someone who has journaled two trips to China with me! Someone who celebrated with me when we received Ruby's referral, and cried with me when Sienna was sick... Someone who has a beautiful heart for orphans.. Her name is Jennifer, and she and her husband Joe own, "My Adoption Websites." I can't say enough about how their service has blessed our family and friends. If you are currently preparing to travel to China, I would consider this keepsake for your child! Three years later, I still go back and visit our first journey! (Our Journey's to Ruby Mei and Sienna Grace can be seen by clicking the tabs on my menu above.)
Jennifer emailed me to see if this year the proceeds from her third annual "Fabulous Fundraiser" could go towards sponsoring in full one Pearl River Baby! The cost of a full sponsorship is $1680.00! If Jen reaches her goal, this will most likely allow us to take an additional child from the Changsha #1 orphanage and place them with a foster family! What a Christmas gift!!
Today and tomorrow are the final days for Jennifer's Sale and Auction. Please take the time to check out what people are bidding on! And, remember any donation is the gift of a family for a child! There is no greater gift for an orphan!

Next, most of you who read this blog, know I love the adoption community. When we started this journey long ago I never knew how blessed I would be. Not only did God bless me with precious daughters, he blessed me with amazing friends too. I have been inspired, humbled, stretched, and amazed along this journey by these women! Today, I am happy to ask you to check out an auction site one of my adoption friends is hosting. The purpose is to bring her precious Shaylee Joy home! And, very soon!!!! There is a lot of excitement at Sharon's house as they prepare for their oldest daughter's wedding, and another one about to go off to college... Seven Children Need Forever Families!
I have just done a Blog Post over at Pearl River for Changsha #1. There are 7 children that are currently available on the shared list. Zander was just added today! Our team met Zander personally a few weeks ago, and said he was absolutely wonderful. And, his SN is MINOR!!! I have posted pictures too! Gwynne!!!
I had to take a break from life at our busy house, to introduce you to one of our newest Pearl River babies!! This is Gwynne! She is 1.5 years old, and she lives in Changsha, Hunan!
It is obvious that she is one happy little girl!!! Look at those adorable curls!!

Shop, Sponsor, Help!!!!!
Well by now you know I have a heart for orphans. Today I have three ways you can help and get involved during this joyous time of the year where it is about giving back to others!
I know why God led me to Pearl River. It is the perfect fit for my passion, adoption! We had six Bamboo Babies adopted in the past few weeks!! When that happens tiny blessings move out, and tiny blessings move in.. And, I have the awesome job of making sure ALL of these precious children are having their needs met! You can go HERE and see who needs a family to help give them the love they need this year! So they too can have a chance for a future with their forever family!
Secondly, over at PRO we are also raising funds (goal of $1000) to bless 88 little babies in Changsha with care packages of goodies... You can donate through PayPal or send items directly to the Meadows Family. You can go HERE to help!

Weekend Extras!...
We had a fun night celebrating Halloween with Camp H! Ruby definitely had fun trick-or-treating this year. Gone is the shy little girl who only went to a few houses in 2008! This year she went last and held her pumpkin out for one more piece! :) Seriously, how would you resist?
The girls had fun dressing as Flapper/Go Go Girl/Twins!! Purple may be my new favorite color for both of them!

My New Awesome "Job"!!!!
Well, I am not sure I can really call it a job! Let's call it a blessing to be responsible for finding sponsors for special needs children in China! Today is my official post asking all of you to check out the NEW Pearl River Outreach Blog! Please book mark it, and check in on us often!I hope you will grab our adorable new blog button too! Thank you Danielle! Our goal is to have our Bamboo Babies sponsored 100%. The more sponsors we get, the more children we can bring into this special program. I can tell you from experience that these children are well cared for. First and foremost they are in foster homes where they are being loved!!!! One of Pearl River's goals is to prepare these children for their forever families!
I look forward to hosting the Pearl River Blog, and for sharing with you heart warming stories about some very special children and families!

Taking a Short Blog Break!
It's time to take a short break to enjoy the last two weeks of The Pearl's summer vacation! I hope to be back around September 1st with Back to School photos, etc...
When I return I will have lots to share about the new volunteer position I have accepted with Pearl River Outreach!!! I am going to host their blog (makeover in the works!) and be the sponsor liaison. I am really looking forward to working with this wonderful organization and their amazing team!
