Just a couple fun pictures of Ainsley today to post. She has had a busy month, and we are very proud of her. She is a Brownie this year, and she is selling cookies for the first time. I think she has learned a few things over the years from being raised by two sales people. I love listening to her on the phone when she leaves a message for people. It has been so cold here that we haven't really hit the streets. She is close to her goal of selling 150 boxes. Way to go Ainsley! For those of you reading this, the Girl Scouts have a "Cookie Share" program this year. You can donate your cookies to the Military or a Local Food Shelf. Such a great option for out of town grandparents and friends! I am personally looking forward to those Thin Mints in the freezer soon!
Ainsley's school has "Spirit Week" next week. One of the themes is Crazy Hair Day... We were practicing yesterday morning with the curlers... However, Miss Ainsley has very straight hair like her Mom so we didn't get much of result.... We may go for the real deal and sleep in sponge curlers or rags to see what happens! You probably can't see it in this picture, but the wallpaper in the background is in the girls bathroom... I picked it out six years ago and it has Asian Women all over it.... Foreshadowing for things to come perhaps?
Lastly, we are getting a kick out of the creativity we see coming from Ainsley these days. She and Katie are busy planning a High School Musical 2 play. They are very serious about doing ALL of it! Jeff has been pulled in as Creative Director! He has also been casted as Mr. Fulton at the Country Club! I hear I am playing Mrs. Darbus!! We are working hard to get them down to 3 of their favorite songs, but so far they have not budged.... She has decided that our floor vacuum is the perfect microphone holder when she plays Sharpay or Hannah Montana! Too funny!!!! Maybe we can serve Girl Scout Cookies at intermission!!!!
I close with a prayer request for Baby Madison. She will undergo a procedure tomorrow to prepare the doctors for her next surgery which is Friday, February 8th. I will be posting more on that next week. She will have to be put to sleep tomorrow morning for her test. Please pray that everything goes as planned. And, for comfort and peace for Julie and Todd. Madison is a little doll, and she has been doing great since her first open heart surgery four months ago. As always the risk of infection is the biggest concern. So we pray for complete healing and protection for precious Maddie.

Loving the pictures! My boys usually just sprayed hair coloring on their hair for crazy hair day. What fun to play with rollers. Miss Ainsley is quite ingenious to use the vacuum for a microphone holder! I'll be keeping baby Madison in my prayers.
I love the pictures of Ainsley! She is such a doll! I will also be keeping Sweet Madison in my prayers!

Hi Diana,
I follow your blog and I always enjoy the precious pictures of your darling girls. I wanted to share with you a crazy hairdo that you might be interested in if you haven't already had Crazy Hair Day. You take a styrofoam cup and place it on the top of her head with the open end on her head ,and have Ainsley turn her head upside down, take her hair and cover the cup, then make a ponytail right above the cup making sure it is pulled a little tight, then you can put flowers or a bow to top it off. It was so cute and funny, when my daughter wore it her hair wasn't real long and it still worked. Everyone loved it and it was hilarious. I posted a picture of it on my blog so you can see what I am talking about.

Such a sweet spirit... and amazingly talented, that beautiful Ainsley. I wish her well with her play - nothing better than the creativity of children.
