It just happened....
I think Ruby Mei got an email from Kate Emerson, because with no warning at all, 'Her Rubiness' has turned into quite the Mama this week! Her ability to handle twins at such a young age is impressive! Baby #1 went in her car seat today to visit Daddy for lunch. She also took a nap in the doll crib that is now in Ruby's room, and she took a trip to the mall with Ruby in her stoller. A very busy day!
Ainsley is very excited about Ruby's new passion, and she has fitted Ruby's "babies" with quite the nursery in her little sister's room. They are all sleeping peacefully as I type!
I do believe I have another "girly girl" in the house! Thankfully, Jeff is not ashamed to play a mean game of "Pretty Princess," or to help with the urgent needs of the "American Girl Bitty Babies!" Another reason I love that man!
Thanks Ainsley for giving up your dolls to your little sister! Now that is true sacrifice and love!

Entirely too sweet - LOVE American Girl - we have had a handing over of the bitty here too:)
Have a happy weekend!
Heather
Oooh, I almost forgot... Hannah and I were in a little boutique today and just as we were leaving she spotted a small display of headbands with pretty flowers on them, she dragged me to them, pointed and you know it, she said "Yooooook Wooobeee" (Look, Ruby!) It was so cute. She asks to come see Ruby all the time, so Ruby is her fashion icon!
Love to you and the gems
Heather
So cute. I love seeing little girls play with dolls. It is especially funny when they start disciplining them or wiping their noses, etc. Wonder wear they pick those up? :o)
Miss you,
Shauna
I sure hope one of those gals is named Katie!!!! I am glad Ruby got the memo:)
Someone sent Miss Kate a bitty baby just yesterday as a gift. So sweet.
Ruby looks like she is having a ball.
Thanks for the call. You are sweet to think of us. Kate has been in my arms non stop and whining so I have not been able to pick up the phone. Much love,
Kim
Diana,
Your blog is soooo sweet!. It's beautiful to see her Rubiness changes over the year.
Thank you for sharing that with other adoptive parents and prospective adoptive parents that can keep on living the miracle of adoption through your lives.
God Bless You
Tony, Adriana and Nolan
Such sweet picutres! It the cutest thing when they become "little mamas" to their babies! Ruby has two wonderful examples in you and Ainsley!
Man, she is so stinkin' cute!!
Dd1 was not a "baby" kind of girl as she preferred her Angelmouse (mouse with angel wings from the UK). Brilliance IS a baby kind of girl and loves her babies too. I'm secretly thrilled because I loved all of my babies when I was a girl and mothered them to death/shreds! The ones that survived are safely tucked away in my closet (yes, I kept them!).
The smile is gorgeous! She looks like an incredible Mama!!

Oh Diana - I am so pleased to have found your blog and see how well you are all doing. The last I knew, Jeff was very, very ill and then my life swallowed me whole and I am still shaking off the post-China funk. I am so pleased to see that he has recovered!
Ruby and Ainsley both are gorgeous! What wonderful blessings. :)
I will try to be less of a stranger. Be well!

Hey Di~
Love it! One of my favorite things is seeing little girls playing with dolls. I think Lindy started showing an interest in her dolls at about 18-20 months, so this must be about the time the maternal instinct kicks in...
Love to all,
Lisa
Go Piper Go. My daughter Amanda loved to play with dolls. She still does. However, I don't find her hanging out with them anymore at age 16. But I do miss that stage soooo much.
Enjoy each and every moment.
Lauren
Miss Ruby is adorable...there is nothing sweeter than little girls and their dolls.
Kim
Oh...so sweet. I love your blog!!!!!
Oh, goodness, I am going to be in so much trouble when I finally have a girl. I truly won't have a clue what to do!
Love all the water pics.
Hi Diana,
Denise and I are so enjoying our precious kids!!! Maggie is so beutiful and I told Denise the other day she reminds me of Ruby, those beautifully shapped eyes and full lips. She is so gentle and quiet, it will be interesting to see her around those four boys! Hudson on the other hands is a total love bug, which we prayed for but a rascal also. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect child for our family. I know you get that. LOVE that Ruby is loving her babies. We are big American Girl fans starting with our bitty babies years ago. We so enjoyed visiting The American Girl Place in Chicago last summer.
We are all starting to long for home....thanks for following along.
Sharon
Aaahhh so cute that they can play house together!
Oh my... how adorable!!! That sweet smile on her face, you captured it beautifully! What a treasure it must be to see her blossoming into a little lady right in front of your eyes :)
Cute, Cute!!
I have such fond memories of Karl playing "Pretty Princess" with my now 21 and 15 yr. old daughters. We still have that original game---I just couldn't ever get rid of it---and now Karl can play it with Karleigh Mei!!
