A Sweet Delivery!
Sometime this week, a sweet little girl we can't wait to love is receiving 2 deliveries. The first one is going to be a cake to celebrate with her friends and nannies that she has a Forever Family waiting for her! We wanted to make this happen before her best buddy, "Golden Boy" is adopted. He meets his family from Denmark next week. We are so happy for him! But, I wish I could be there to hold my little girl when she says goodbye to her friend. It makes me tear up thinking about it.. Will she understand why he has to leave?
The second package includes two Panda Bears: One for Emme, and one for her very best friend. You will see the little tag I asked them to attach for these precious friends. Perhaps they will meet again one day!
We are using Ann at Red Thread for our care packages. She is so wonderful! We are hopeful that we will receive some photos from Yangzhou soon of Emme and her friends enjoying a big pice of cake from her Forever Family!

They're going to love them!! It's so sad that she's losing her little friend. So happy he's going to have a family though. Can't wait to see the pics!
That is just precious!!! I love that her best friend is getting a gift too! But sad they won't be together anymore. SO wonderful they are both getting a forever family and not being left there. God is SO good!!! Can't wait for new pics!!! SO exciting!!! blessings!
What a thoughtful and heartfelt gift. I know they will have a friendship that will cross the miles forever!
Aww...the care package looks so special. You can tell it was created with lots of love. I love the idea about the pandas. YOu always come up with such great things. You definitely have a gift for creativity in that area. I am excited that her best buddy is getting a forever family too but I wish they were going "home" around the same time. Like you, I hate that she will be sad and miss him for a while.
Hugs,
K
PS...sorry I missed you today. We have various doctor appts for all of us (eye, allergist and dermatologist) everyday the rest of this week but I will try to catch you between appts.
What a sweet package ... I am living vicariously through you again as you go back to China. Wish so bad it was in the plans for right now but God knows my heart & my desires. Maybe one day. SO happy for your precious family!!!! Really ... and I LOVE HER NAME!!!!! She is a doll!!
Oh, our children go through so much it is difficult to imagine. Her care package is beautiful and I am sure it will bring a smile to her heart. I will pray for her little heart and yours as well as her best buddy, that he will have a easy transition.
Diana, I just wanted to thank you for your words and the scripture you left on my blog... it made me cry. I don't know why I am so emotional but I am... I am having a hard time and it was like a big hug from Jesus reminding me that He is with us and He is going to get my little girl through this, and me and my Hannah at home. If I feel this vulnerable away from home I can't imagine how she must feel.... she is so brave and sweet and I pray that she soon feels safe, and knows how loved she is. Thankyou for all your prayers.
God bless you friend and God's speed...
Love,
Daleea
Precious. What a gift--one that will hopefully reunite them one day. xoxo
PS I know it sounds silly...but don't you wish you could "pkg yourself along w/this sweet delivery"!
What a great gift for both children! I hope, I hope, I hope his family is able to contact you! And while she isn't my little girl, I can very well empathize with your desire to be there to help her through her grief of being separated from her friend.
Have you asked the orphanage to share your contact information with "Golden Boy's" new family?
Have you been able to make contact with the Danish family of Golden Boy yet?
What a sweet idea. She will love the gifts your sending. How special to include Golden Boy!
This post really hit a soft spot with me... I can hardly type through my welling tears. I love your heart my friend. Your beautiful heart that reaches out beyond your new daughter, but to her best friend, too. What a precious and thoughtful thing to do, giving him a matching panda with a specially marked tag. I hope someone explains the special connection to his new family, and will be praying that somehow you are able to keep their connection alive as they grow. So sweet!
I'm so glad they got to enjoy the wonderful cake celebration together though. Those photos were to precious for words!! I know they will be treasures to your precious Emme one day, and she will be SO grateful that she had such a thoughtful mama even before they traveled to bring her home!
Love you.
