In HIS Hands... Tomorrow Morning!

Emme-13lullaby

Tomorrow morning at 7:30am our sweet baby girl, our "little bean" our precious daughter will under-go major surgery, to repair her tethered cord, on her lower spine. Tomorrow morning, Jeff and I will let her go into THE hands of the One who created her.. And, we will do our best, by faith, to trust that He will guide the hands of her amazing surgeon. We have no reason to doubt this, other than by letting our human fears get in the way... By faith Emme Jade came into our family. By stepping out in obedience we have been blessed beyond the call to her.. In just five months we love this little girl more than words can express here... She is our daughter.. It is not complicated. We simply adore her! Only a loving God can produce that in the hearts of two parents, and three special sisters, in such a short period of time.

Many of you have journeyed this road with us.. Thank you for that! Many of you have reached out today to let us know you are praying.. We are so grateful! We do know the power in that! ( Remember China with Sienna in 2010?!) Even in Haiti, prayers are being lifted up for Emme Jade! What a blessing to know she is so covered, all over the world! God knows what tomorrow will bring.. We, trust it is going to be another beautiful chapter in Emme's testimony of the way God has protected her and loved her in such a personal way!

"Emme Jade ~ You are fearfully and wonderfully made... You are special! And, we are so thankful that it is us, that was chosen to be by your side... Our specific prayers are for no complications, no spinal fluid leakage, no bladder complications..."

_

"Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid;
do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go."
~Joshua 1:9

Thank you for your prayers and support! It's a humbling place to be.... again...

I will do my best to post updates here and on Facebook when we know how she is doing!

Blessings,
Jeff & Diana

I am soooooo praying for her and your family. This is major and I will be lifting the little bean up all day and be anxiously awaiting the updates. You know this surgery is something we may have to deal with in the future so I know how scary this can be and so our prayers will be with Emma, the surgeons , the nurses and all those involved. I will pray specifically for the spinal leakage and the bladder issues. Praying for the surgeons hands and skill. Praying for your family.

Diana,
I can't think of any "good" words, anything that feels meaningful. I guess I will just say that my heart, my thoughts, and my prayers are with Emme and her beautiful family.

Dear Diana and Jeff:

I am praying for precious Emme Jade and the two of you, all day today. I know that God will guide the surgeon's hands. Thank you for sharing the specific requests for protection from spinal leakage and bladder issues.

I love this verse from Deuteronomy that says that God will give us "strength to equal our days"! He will walk you through today and surround you with His love and peace.

With care!

You've been on my heart and mind all week, and my alarm notified me this a.m. that you were going into surgery, we are praying earnestly. I understand your very human fears, I've been there too. We serve an amazing and powerful God, he has brought you together for a purpose.

Trusting that THE Great Physician has this all under control and his will will be done in Emme Jade's life.

Blessings and prayers.

Please let us know if you need anything, we'll be happy to do whatever you need.

So thankful she is doing so well. I know a bit about the lying flat part as our little ones have to do that when they have heart caths. Yeah ... it is just tough no matter what.

Here's hoping today's "cocktail" will give her some rest. I am reading about this journey with added interest b/c our son may have to do this surgery one day in the not-to-distant future. And it scares me! So thank you for sharing here and allowing us the privilege to pray as well.

She is an adorable little girl and I know you feel incredibly blessed to have her and that the surgery itself is done and went so well! Praise God!!!

I meant to add the Scripture you shared here really ministered to me today. We are leaving for China in less than 3 days now to bring home our little girl who will need heart surgery soon after coming home, and this Scripture brings so much PEACE.
