Back to School in a Big Way!!

-16RAS-FirstDayBLog

We officially have a 5th Grader and two all-day Kindergartners, as of 8:20 this morning! On all accounts it sounds like the first day went great! Ainsley likes her class and her teacher, and Sienna and Ruby want to go back again tomorrow!!! I was informed that Sienna has met the boy she is going to marry already!!! However, she could not remember his name! Either could her sister for that matter!!! They were pretty funny about their recap of day 1! Tomorrow they go ALL day.. Today was a warm up for the girls.. They ended early at 1:30!

I love this shot because they were so excited.. They popped out of bed and got dressed right away. I hope newness of it all lasts a while! My guess is they will be pretty tired by the end of
the week!

So cute to see Daddy walking in with three girls this year.. Emme joined in too after I took this picture. She does not like to miss out when Daddy is involved!

It's hard to explain how I felt dropping Sienna and Ruby off today.. Honestly, I am very excited for them. They are ready for the structure of all day school. And, they are ready to learn more than counting to 10 and their ABC's! They are ready to be challenged! Yesterday, I felt like I was counting down the hours to school. It had been a long weekend.. But, when I saw them walk in confidently and hang up their back packs it hit me.. God has given us the job to help them grow their wings... Then it's our job to let them go and watch them fly! I trust they will grow in many ways this year.. But, the Mom in me is a little sad to see them grow up. I hope it's not too fast.. It wasn't too long ago that we were in Nanchang looking around the room for a little girl named Meng Ru, and in Changsha meeting a very scared Xia Chang.. Now I look at them and marvel at just how amazing they are. And, as for Miss Ainsley... She has matured so much in the last year!!! And, we look forward to seeing her blossom in 5th grade!

I heard a song the other day by Stephen Curtis Chapman.. I can't tell you the title.. But, the message reminds us that as long as we are doing things that make God smile that's what is truly important! I want to raise my girls to believe that.. So, that they can fly with confidence!

Happy First Day of School Girls!! It's definitely a day worth celebrating!!

So glad to see those beautiful BIG smiles!!!! I understand EXACTLY how you felt. That mix of emotions is very interesting. Joy, pride, sadness, excitement. Hope their whole week goes well.

Love those big smiles! Maggie woke up on Friday for her first day and said "I'm so excited Mom!" She had a great first day too. She did complain that the school bus (she really wanted to ride it home) just "stop and go, stop and go" all the way home. It is so much fun to experience all of these firsts through our kids, huh?

The girls looks so happy!! The Big "K" is a whole new world and I know both girls will LOVE it! This is our second week and I still can't shake the sadness of seeing by babies growing up so fast:( When I drop the girls off every morning they are "beaming" and I am the one in tears, they just think Mom is crazy:)

God Bless,
Diane

What beautiful girls, you have SO MANY reasons to be proud of them.

They are going to love socializing and having fun. I know they'll miss you too, and you them. Children are such a gift from the Lord. He gives them to us and it's our job to teach them to give back to Him. It really is amazing.

Happy first day of Kindergarten. How cute are they all dressed up and going to something so new and exciting called Kindergarten. They look so excited. Their AZ buddy told me tonight that they make her read everyday (with a heavy sigh)! Ainsley looks like such a confident 5th grader! Miss the R girls....J

oh what a beautiful post Diana. I love the annual 1st day photos of Daddy walking his girlies into school. It's been fun to watch since the days of just Ainsley, to now THREE of his little beauties. It is bittersweet to see them grow up, I know. Khloe put on a pair of her Gymboree 1 pc cotton jammies tonight, and they came up just below the knees! I couldn't believe it... I think we need to measure her again, as she has grown SO much over the past 14+ months she has been home. As I watch your girls grow through their photos, I see the same blossoming at "Miracle Grow" fertilizing speeds! Where does the time go?! You are SO good about journaling and capturing every special moment on camera though... and that in itself is completely PRICELESS! Yes indeed, we are appointed by God to train them up in the way they should go and give them their wings to fly ~ and that is JUST what your little princesses are doing! Beautiful photos... absolutely adorable!

Hugs,
Tanya

Precious! I already know I'll need to take 2013 and 2014 off to mourn when our girls go to school for the first time!

The girls are all just beautiful, so fun to see their first day of school.
