Ballet Shoes for The Pearl!

Not too long ago The Pearl asked if she could take dance classes again. There is a Christian Dance Company here that focuses on quality instruction in a wholesome environment. I love this school, and it's director! They are known for their wonderful program, and their amazing recital in June. Ainsley actually took classes at this school the year we got our referral for Ruby Mei. We had to pull her out before we traveled, and because of the timing of it all she could not be in the recital. We will make sure she is there this year! I look forward to it!I forgot how much I love ballet until I attended the Parent Observation day yesterday. The girls did a scaled down version of The Nutcracker for us. I was so excited to see how much Ainsley has improved! She was graceful and beautiful out there as she showed her bar work, and the other new things she has learned! As I listened and watched, I wished I was taking ballet too! Maybe when Ruby is in school, I will take an adult class. Of course, the pink tights will be covered by a very long wrap!!!
Ruby was absolutely great as she watched the dancers until they put on their tutu's for the finale! We had to leave the room as she loudly chanted for all to hear, "Me Tutu Mama!" Let's just say she will be wearing her own tutu to the June recital!
On another note, Her Rubiness has caught quite a nasty cold. She had a miserable night. Poor baby!!! We will be hunkering in for a few days...

What a beautiful ballerina! We live in Minnesota and met you at an AWAA get together. We were wondering about the name of the dance company as our girls are interested in dance but haven't found a christian dance company.
Thank you!
I love the pictures. I wish I had taken ballet when I was younger. I'm afraid those days have passed for me :)
Hope Ruby feels better soon.
Poor Ruby. I hope she feels better soon-- colds are no fun!!
Ainsley looks sooo adorable in her tutu!! I am glad she likes dance. I hope Mia does as I have always dreampt of my daighter taking dance-- and gymnastics. When we knew our time was close to travel to China we stopped all the boys extracurricular activities with the exception of church activities and boy scouts. Mia has been home over a year and a half and soccer this fall is the first sport they have been in since Mia came home. I always feel guilty for that but It has been necessary and kind of nice not to have so many crazy activities.
The pearl is just beautiful!!
Christy :)
sweet! she looks the part, that's for sure. We just signed Piper up, of course it's nowhere near as 'fancy' as Ainsley's place, but she's not even four so I'm sure it will be fine.
I think you'll need to sign Ruby up too!
Get better, we were all sick this weekend and it was miserable!
More beautiful talent from your beautiful Pearl! Hope Ruby feels better soon!
What an adorable blog you have! I hope to check in more often. Your girls are so cute!

I absolutely LOVE the photos! I took ballet, tap and jazz until the 7th grade (then I had to cheer, so I thought). I have such fond memories. We currently have two boys, but we are in the process of adopting a little girl from Russia! I CANNOT WAIT until we can do ballet lessons! For now it is soccer and basketball for me three days a week. :) What a graceful Pearl!
First of all, Ruby, feel better sweetie.
And the pearl - she is magnificent. Such a sweet talent. I was a ballerina and I loved every moment. Em took ballet last year and loved it. This year we tried jazz and we are going to complete it, but she wants to go back to ballet next year. She takes ballet at school and spiritual dance, which I love and she does too.
Thank you for sharing these gorgeous pictures. Your girls are a treasure!
Love,
Heather
hope she is feeling better, but these are just wonderful pics

Such beautiful pictures of such a precious little Pearl-they really capture her beauty and grace--
So sorry Ruby feels so yucky, our Anna Grace can't quite kick her cold either-not looking forward to a long winter of illness-

Ainsley looks so beautiful and so graceful in these photos. There is a maturity to her. Oh how I love that Ainsley!
I am sorry about Ruby. Hope she napped for you after we spoke....
Kate finally did.
She looks adorable doing ballet! I wanted to do that when I was little. I hope Olivia can take classes when she's older. A friend of mine is taking belly dance classes - we should do that! (p.s. thank you for the cute Christmas card - Lauri did a wonderful job)
